This Week in Cycl Sales: Safer Workflows, Sharper AI Images, and Fewer Cancellation Calls

September 14, 2026

Big week over here. The team shipped a stack of updates that make your workflows safer, your AI-generated images way more on-brand, and — if you run rentals — your inbox a lot quieter. Grab your coffee and let's get into it. ☕

🚦 Workflows Now Have a Bouncer at the Door

Ever hit publish on a workflow, only to find out later that a step was broken and it had been quietly failing on real contacts? Yeah, that's over now.

Every error — frontend or backend — now shows up in one clean sidebar instead of scattered popups. Each one comes with two options: jump straight to the broken step, or let AI take a swing at fixing it for you. And if you're not ready to finish fixing things right now, you can save your progress anyway and come back later. No more losing your work because of an error toast.

The best part: publish is now blocked until everything's clean. Broken workflows don't sneak into production anymore.

🎨 AI Image Generation Got a Serious Glow-Up

Two upgrades landed together, and they solve the two biggest complaints people have about AI-generated images: quality and consistency.

First, there's a new model under the hood: GPT Image 2.5, in two flavors. Flare is the default — faster and sharper than before, great for everyday content and quick prototyping. Sunburst is the "I need this to look premium" option, built for polished campaign creative where every detail matters.

Second — and honestly the bigger deal — you can now attach up to five reference images to guide a generation instead of trying to describe everything in words (which, let's be honest, never quite works). Upload a photo of your product, a headshot, your logo, whatever. The AI uses them as visual context so faces stay recognizable, logos stay exact, and your brand doesn't get "reimagined" into something unrecognizable.

Someone on the team tested it by feeding in a restaurant photo, a model's portrait, and a logo — and got back a clean, on-brand lifestyle shot with the logo placed perfectly in the corner. No photographer, no studio, no "close enough."

🔍 Ask AI Can Now Point You to the Right App

Not sure what integration you need? You don't have to know the exact name anymore. Just describe what you're trying to do in Ask AI — something like "is there a real estate integration available?" — and it'll search the marketplace and hand you relevant options right there in the chat, with descriptions and a link to learn more.

No more digging through category after category hoping you'll recognize the right app when you see it.

📈 Meta Now Coaches Your Ad Campaigns After They Go Live

Optimization didn't used to stop at publish — it just moved somewhere less convenient. Now, once a Meta campaign is live, you'll see Meta's own recommendations right inside Ad Manager: what to change, which part of the campaign it affects, and roughly how much it could help, tagged as High, Medium, or Low impact.

Click "Review and Update," and it takes you straight to the spot in your campaign where you can make the change. No more tab-hopping between two different ad platforms trying to remember what you were going to fix.

🎙️ Communities Just Got a Voice

Typing a long reply is a lot of effort when you could just... talk. Communities now support voice notes in both posts and comments. Hit the new mic button, record your thought (pause and resume if you get interrupted), and send it.

You can also upload audio files directly — multiple per post if you need them. Everything plays back inline in the feed with a nice waveform view, and listeners can bump playback up to 1.5x or 2x speed if they're in a hurry.

📋 Custom Forms Now Run the Whole Booking Experience

If you use Services or Rentals with a custom booking form, your form's logic can now control way more than just which fields show up. Turn on the new global setting, and your form's own rules — redirect to a URL, show a custom message, disqualify a lead — take over the confirmation page too.

Don't have any of those rules set up on a form? No problem, everything just falls back to your regular Global Settings automatically, so nothing breaks. And a helpful banner at the listing level tells you exactly how your form will behave before you even publish.

🔑 Rental Guests Can Now Cancel Themselves

"Can you cancel my booking?" is about to become a much rarer email. Rentals guests can now cancel an upcoming booking straight from their confirmation link — no call, no waiting on a reply. It's instant, and they can leave an optional note about why, which gets saved right to the booking for you.

Want more control? You can set a cancellation cutoff window (minutes, hours, or days before the booking starts) so last-minute cancellations aren't self-service. And don't worry — refunds and security deposits are never touched automatically. Those decisions stay in your hands.

That's a Wrap

Safer workflows, sharper AI images, and fewer "please cancel my booking" emails — not a bad week. We'll be back next week with more. Until then, go break in that new publish gate. 👋
